First and Foremost

Wesley Crusher, You Inspire Me

Of all the reasons that might inspire one to start a weblog, I'm sure very few could claim (or would admit) that their inspiration was Will Wheaton. Turns out Wesley Crusher grew up and became a pretty cool dude and his weblog WWdN: In Exile is damn interesting stuff. I stumbled across the blog while reading the latest post on the WGA United Hollywood site. Will is a funny, smart and articulate guy and he has a unique perspective on the geek culture and life in general. Click on the link above to see what he has to say.

Pencils Down!

Once your done at WWdn, head on over to United Hollywood to read about the latest in the WGA's struggle against the evil empire that is the AMPTP. The writer's strike and its implications for Hollywood and the rest of the country is an important issue that has been pretty much ignored by the major news networks. That's not surprising considering the networks are owned by the same companies that own the production houses that make up the AMPTP. I intend to devote my next post to the strike but for now you can the real story, or at least an alternative to the story the AMPTP is telling(or not telling) on its networks, at United Hollywood.

All Good Things...

Appropriate words to close the first post to my weblog with, considering Wesley Crusher was the inspiration for it's creation. Until next time :)
